Blue Farm Tortilla Chips are produced and distributed by A-Maize-ing Corn Products, based in Janesville, Wisconsin and led by Randy and Judy Hughes. The Hughes farm family has farmed in Rock County for six generations. In 2024 we celebrated our farms 175th anniversary (demisemiseptcentennial) in conjunction with our uncle Wes’s 92nd birthday.
The folks at A-Maize-ing Corn Products are committed to organic agriculture, and have been since 1991. The Hughes have approximately 2,500 acres that are certified organic by the Organic Crop Improvement Association.
In addition to blue corn, other organic crops grown at Hughes Farm include rye, barley, wheat, kernza, vetch, peas, sweet corn, lima beans, and a whole host of other unique crops.
As Randy says, “One of our goals in supporting organic agriculture is to bring the consumer closer to the farmer. We achieve this at A-Maize-ing Corn Products by supplying as many of the ingredients to our chips as we can, sourcing better and better genetics to improve consistency, quality, taste and color.”
“Additionally, we market and supply our chips both ourselves and in partnership with other local distributors who share our mission to feed all the people we can reach with good, local, ethically sourced and clean food.”
